Then and Now Quilt Along

Image
So, obvisously the quilting bug is a bitten me but good. I joined a quilt along at a quilt store near my work. The idea is we all recieve the trimmings needed to make a block each month. Then we get together to learn about the next block. The quilt comes from Eleanor Burns's new book, Tales of the First Ladies. This block was very simple to make. The colors that I am doing are from the Then side meaning they are more of the colors from the past. The Now is brighter colors with greens and purples.

Easy Street Progress

Well my trip down is street is progressing like a slow walk. Bonnie revealed the last clue on New Year's. It is so cute. I put things together in an assembly line style. Here's the sewing table... covered in all the goodies required. On the table is the first three strips of the 16 A blocks and all the triangles completed. The first block complete. More to come.....

Sewing Along Easy Street

I am nearly caught up. I spent most of week trying to knock out a week a day. Some bumps made things a little slower along the way. Of course three days of being sick in the middle doesn't make it quick either. Week two: learning curve - first time making flying geese. Week three: These 4 shaded squares were quite the little buggers. Week four: Easier the second time around. Week five:These were a lot of fun! Some people have renamed these Up on the Roof Top. Week six: Bricks for the road. Gotta hit the road.
