Flyingdale Originally uploaded by knittingkim It's finished! I love how it turned out. The color is much prettier than this pic. For some reason the picture is really washed out. I spun this one a couple of summers ago and finally got around to the knitting. The buttons I found at Hancock Fabrics. They're a lot of fun, as well.

Then Block of the Month 2 and 3

Here are the two new blocks for my "Then" Quilt. It been a lot of fun learning about the first ladies. I like history, but I don't really seek knowledge just for. This has given me the opportunity to learn and do something I enjoy. Block 2: Lady of the White House Block 3: The Double T (Temperence) They are getting better. OOh, forgot to say I bought a new sewing machine. Hubby says I bought a real one since it's a Singer.

Easy Street Almost

Well, the top is nearly complete. I still need to add the 2 borders. I am planning for a teal 2 inch inner border and a 5 inch out border in that lovely Olive pattern. This thing is huge and was quite the task. I had no idea what I was getting into, but I learn a ton. Patience is not my virtue and patience is the necessity of good matching squares. It's fine though. This one will go to daughter. She has a queen size bed too. She has stated that she really likes it as well. Husband hates the colors. I think its a little too busy for his taste. I was more about the learning, so all is well. More quilting and knitting to come.

Goodies always come in the mail

Kiwi Swap Originally uploaded by knittingkim Check out the yummies from this swap. I like doing swaps once in awhile. I got a wonderful knitting bag, markers, pins and some great smelling foot cream. If she only knew my feet. They say thank you. I can't wait to spin the alpaca. The cream color is just lovely. My favorite is the little egg decoration. It has little sheep figurines in there. It's just too cute. And back to my sweater.
